Prairie Community-Based HIV Research Program - Hosted by Nine Circles Community Health Centre

Capacity Building

Capacity building in community-based research is a participatory educational approach that encourages all participants to learn cooperatively about research.

This process consists of consultations, workshops, networking, and hands-on research cooperation.

CUPID

Community-University Participatory Inquiry Designs (CUPID) was a two-day interactive workshop with 31 participants including students, researchers, government, non-profit workers volunteers and persons living with HIV and/or hepatitis C. The workshop was designed to create awareness of the potential and boundaries of collaborative and participatory community research, as well as foster critical agents of research.
